Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the LaPawfé website and any dog care services you book with LaPawfé, a family-owned business operating in Houston, TX ("LaPawfé", "we", "our", "us"). By booking with us or using this site, you agree to these Terms.

Bookings and confirmations

All bookings are requests until we confirm them. We may decline any booking at our discretion — for example, if the requested time is unavailable or if a dog's health or behavior may pose a risk to other dogs or staff.

Deposits, payment, and cancellations

• A non-refundable $25 deposit holds your spot and is applied to the final balance of your booking.
• The remaining balance is due at drop-off (or the start of service) unless we agree otherwise in writing.
• Deposits are refundable if you cancel at least 48 hours before the scheduled start time. Cancellations within 48 hours forfeit the deposit.
• No-shows and same-day cancellations may be charged the full service price.
• LaPawfé may cancel or reschedule for weather, illness, or safety reasons; in that case any deposit paid is fully refunded or moved to a new date at your choice.

Health, vaccinations, and safety

• Dogs must be up to date on core vaccines (including Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella). Proof may be requested.
• You must disclose any medical conditions, medications, allergies, or behavioral issues at the time of booking.
• We reserve the right to refuse or end service for any dog whose behavior threatens the safety of people or other animals. In that case unused time may be refunded pro rata at our discretion.
• Dogs must be free of fleas, ticks, and contagious illness. Additional cleaning fees may apply if this is not disclosed.

Emergency and veterinary care

You authorize LaPawfé to seek emergency veterinary care for your dog if we are unable to reach you and reasonably believe care is needed. You agree to reimburse LaPawfé for reasonable veterinary costs incurred on your dog's behalf, unless the need arose from LaPawfé's negligence.

Liability

LaPawfé takes reasonable care with every dog. To the extent permitted by law, LaPawfé is not liable for pre-existing conditions, injuries caused by another dog in a group setting despite reasonable supervision, or damage caused by information you failed to disclose. Our total liability for any claim relating to a booking will not exceed the amount you paid for that booking.

Photos and media

We love to share photos of the dogs in our care on our website and social media. Let us know at booking if you'd prefer we not include your dog.

Acceptable use of the site

Don't attempt to disrupt the site, submit false booking information, or misuse the owner dashboard. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the site or booking of services after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas.
